The Professional Services team plays a critical role in helping customers unlock the full value of SmartPM through expert guidance, analysis, and white-glove support.

This role is a unique opportunity for a construction delay analyst or scheduling consultant looking to transition from traditional consulting into the construction technology space.

 

Role Overview

SmartPM is seeking a Professional Services Specialist focused on Delay Analysis to support customers in understanding and applying schedule analytics within the SmartPM platform.

This role will leverage experience in construction delay analysis and CPM scheduling to help customers interpret schedule data, evaluate delays, and extract insights from SmartPM analytics.

The position is highly collaborative and customer-facing, working across Customer Success, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure our customers succeed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform schedule reviews and delay analysis using CPM scheduling principles and SmartPM analytics
  • Interpret project schedule data and communicate findings to customers
  • Guide customers on best practices for schedule quality and delay analysis methodologies
  • Assist customers in applying delay analysis techniques within the SmartPM platform
  • Provide product feedback and insights to SmartPM Engineering to improve platform capabilities
  • Support the Sales team with technical demonstrations and schedule analytics expertise
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure customer adoption and retention
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to marketing initiatives such as webinars, content, and thought leadership

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience performing construction delay analysis or forensic schedule analysis
  • Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling techniques
  • Experience working for a delay analysis or claims consulting firm
  • Familiarity with multiple delay analysis methodologies
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex schedule information to clients
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing role

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with SmartPM software
